The Grevillea Seats were a project for the then “Thuringowa City” Council, now “Townsville City”, and the aim was to beautify the shop frontage on Tavern St near a new residential development and provide a small amount of seating.

Each of the flowers on the Grevillea stems were hand beaten, cold bent and welded together, making each one unique and organically laid out to emulate the real flowers.  They were based on real life varieties of native Grevilleas found in my Mum’s native Garden.  The circular seats were made from native hard wood.
